2017 Mini-Grants Awarded!

The Early On Michigan Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2017 Mini Grants:  Hillsdale and Newaygo.

The amount available for the award was $3,859; we were pleased to receive eight quality proposals. The Foundation Mini Grant Review Committee met on May 25; on June 1, the Board of Directors finalized approval for funding two proposals.

The applications were selected for specific and appropriate use of innovative strategies to address an identified need. Hillsdale proposed to fund the purchase of Hawaii Early Learning Profile (HELP) Family-Centered Interview forms, charts and administration manuals in order to support and evaluate routines-based evaluation and goal development. Newaygo proposed the purchase of resources and supplies to support personnel growth through a book study and implementation of feeding strategies initially introduced by Melanie Potock at the 2015 Early On Pre-Conference. Grants in the amount of $1,749 and $2,110 are awarded to Hillsdale and Newaygo, respectively.
